Dallas Co. School students head back to school

The Dallas County School system kicked off the start of a new school year Wednesday morning.

Superintendent Anthony Sampson stopped by each school in the district — to make sure the new school year — got off to a good start.

Wal Dc1stday0807 Fox PkgStudents at Durant-Tipton Middle School are glad to be back at school — and looking forward to the new school year.

“I feel good cause when I was at the house, I was doing activities but like the activities that I wanted to do they wasn’t fun for real. So, I’m glad to be back,” said 7th Grader Justin Lee.

“I’m really looking forward to like going on trips. And basically like, making like new bonds with people,” said 7th Grader Khloie Blevins.

“This year the kids have come back, they are excited, they are ready,” said Principal Celester Bolden, Jr.

“They are ready to learn. And we’re ready to teach them.”

The Dallas County School system has thirteen schools — and over 3000 students.
