Tallassee police searching for shooter who left victim seriously hurt

Tallassee police need your help finding the suspect in a shooting that left the victim seriously hurt.

Police say on Saturday, August 3, at around 10:28PM, they and medics were called to the 2200 block of Alabama Highway 229. That’s where they found the victim with a gunshot wound.

Investigators say the victim is currently in ICU and is receiving treatment for serious injuries. No other details regarding the victim or condition have been released, including the person’s age or gender.

Investigators say there are two suspect vehicles that may be linked to the shooting — a black 4-door sedan and a black SUV.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or have any details regarding this shooting to please come forward.
