Montgomery high school closed for two days due to COVID
Montgomery Public Schools has announced that one of its high schools will be closed for two days, with students switching to remote learning.
MPS said in a statement that due to a significant number of staff absences involving reports of COVID-related illness, JAG High School will move to remote learning on Wednesday, August 14, and Thursday, August 15.
MPS says the situation will be assessed on August 15 to determine if the school can safely reopen on Friday, August 16.
For students: Assignments will be accessible via Schoology. Teachers will provide links to videos and live lessons, and they will also email students the assignments using their school email addresses. All assignments can be accessed using personal or other available electronic devices.
MPS says the school will undergo thorough cleaning and sanitization before reopening. Masks and disinfectant wipes will be available for students and staff upon return.
