Motorcyclist dies after hitting deer in Lee County
A motorcyclist has died after hitting a deer in Lee County.
Alabama State Troopers say 28-year-old Tyler Smith of Phenix City was riding the motorcycle at about 4:37 this morning when he hit the deer. He was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
State troopers say the crash happened on Lee County Road 254 near U.S. Highway 280, about seven miles east of Opelika.
