ACTION 8 UPDATE: Two 18-year-olds arrested in Notasulga murder case

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Two 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a teenager dead and another teenager injured in Notasulga.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says on Monday, officers with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit arrested the 18-year-olds in Tuscaloosa. The are identified as Elijah Rogers and Barthonia Howard, both of Notasulga.

ALEA says they have been charged with murder and attempted murder. They are being held without bond and are being held for Macon County officials.

As Action 8 News has reported, on Thursday, August 8, a 16-year-old was found dead in the 100 Block of Union Camp Road in Notasulga. A 17- year-old who was injured was taken to a hospital for treatment.
