Two dead in Dallas County accident

A fatal accident in Dallas County has claimed the lives of two people.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the two-vehicle crash happened around 1:50 a.m. Sunday on Alabama 5 near the 34 mile marker, approximately three miles north of Alberta.

21-year-old Adrian Vickers, of Brandon, FL, was fatally injured with the 2014 Nissan Sentra he was driving collided head-on with the 2007 Lexus RX driven by 67-year-old Earnest Hudson, of Alberta.

Troopers say after the initial collision, the Lexus caught fire.

Vickers and Hudson were both pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the accident.
