A few showers through Friday; More rain, storms this weekend

Thursday afternoon looks hot with high temperatures in the mid 90s and a partly cloudy sky. A few brief showers may form at random through the end of the afternoon. However, many locations remain dry. For those that see rain, it may not be much, and it may not last long. It may not do much to reduce the heat either. Thursday night becomes rain-free and perhaps mostly clear, with lows in the low to mid 70s.

The rain chance remains low Friday, with a partly cloudy sky and highs in the mid 90s otherwise. It looks like showers and storms become scattered Saturday afternoon. A few strong storms appear possible, capable of strong wind gusts. Heavy rain and lightning are also possible hazards. Showers and storms may become widely scattered Sunday too. Otherwise, temperatures remain hot this weekend, with highs in the mid 90s.

A front may push through and south of our area by early next week. That may lower humidity, and suppress any chance for rain through Wednesday. With a mostly sunny sky, temperatures still warm into the mid 90s each day. A low chance for rain may return late next week. Meanwhile, high temperatures likely remain in the mid 90s.
