Weekend Plans Could Be Impacted By Rain Activity
We head into the weekend with a frontal boundary moving into the deep south. This boundary will help generate more widespread coverage of showers and t-storms both days. Some storms will capable of heavy rainfall, frequent lightning strikes, and gusty winds. Be aware that some storms could have an impact on your outdoor plans. Temps will manage lower to mid 90s for highs and heat indices will climb above 100 degrees again.
The frontal boundary will push through and another surge of dry air will head our way early next week. Once again, we get to experience fairly comfortable morning along with warm and dry afternoons. The humidity levels will be lower and that will make a big difference.
Down in the tropics we’re tracking Hurricane Ernesto located over the Western Atlantic. The storm is forecast to maintain cat 2 strength as it passes near Bermuda. All indications are the tropical system will turn northeast and not be a threat to the U. S. east coast.
