Woman sentenced after teenager beaten, stabbed to death in Montgomery in 2020
A Montgomery woman has been sentenced for her role in the beating and stabbing death of a teenager in 2020.
Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey said that Erin Taylor has been sentenced to 50 years in prison by Circuit Judge Brooke Reid. In April, Taylor pleaded guilty to murder, Bailey said.
Lesley Luna Pantaleon was 17 years old when her body was found in Catoma Creek off of Old Selma Road on July 4, 2020. She had been reported missing by her parents on June 24 of that year.
Bailey said Taylor and two co-defendants beat and stabbed Pantaleon several times before throwing her into a creek while she was still alive. The victim’s body was badly decomposed when it was discovered.
Police said at the time that Pantaleon and the suspects had been involved in a physical altercation.
Taylor was 16 at the time of the death but was charged as an adult.
