Still hot, but higher chances for rain and storms this weekend

Friday afternoon looks partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers or storms. Temperatures warm into the mid 90s. Rain fades away Friday evening, then Friday night looks partly cloudy with lows in the mid 70s. The chance for rain looks higher this weekend. Showers and storms become scattered Saturday and Sunday, mainly during the afternoon and evening.

Storms may cluster this weekend, which may result in a few strong wind gusts. Otherwise, lightning may force you indoors. The rain may be heavier and last longer, which may cool temperatures more effectively during the afternoon. Although, temperatures likely peak in the mid 90s Saturday and Sunday before showers or storms form.

A front likely pushes through and south of our area by early Monday. That likely decreases humidity through next Wednesday. Since drier air heats up more quickly, temperatures still warm into the mid 90s each afternoon. Monday through Wednesday also look mainly sunny and rain-free. A chance for rain may return to our area late next week.
