Isolated Showers Return For Midweek

A dry and milder air mass is still in play across the area.   You will really notice it as you head out the door Wednesday morning. Northerly winds are ushering in drier air and you will feel the difference.  Temps will fall into the lower to mid  60s for morning lows. Afternoon temps will warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs.  Those 90s won’t feel quite so bad with the less humid air in place.  As you know it’s August and any break in the high humidity can be a big win for us.

The dry northerly wind flow will try to remain in place but and eastly wind flow begins to creep into the area Wednesday afternoon.  We should see an area of showers form east of the US-231 corridor.  All other areas look to remain rainfree but that will change Thursday.  That easterly wind flow will transport Atlantic moisture into most of our area. Scattered showers will develop and push westward during the day.   Temps will only manage the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs.

The upcoming weekend is looking typical for August.  We expect a mostly sunny sky along with a slight chance for those isolated showers or t-storms.  Temps will continue to reach the lower 90s for highs and overnight lows in the lower 70s.
