Build-A-Bear opens in Montgomery

Build-A-Bear is officially open in Montgomery.

A ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration was held Wednesday morning for the new location at the Shoppes at Eastchase.

Build-A-Bear Workshop is a national retailer that sells teddy bears, stuffed animals and more. Customers have the opportunity to customize their new stuffed animal with varying outfits, sounds and looks.

“It’s incredible for Build-A-Bear to open up out here today,” said Richard Holman, general manager of the Shoppes at Eastchase. “They are a great company and they are offering a great product and it’s gonna bring families out here and it’s really gonna be a great addition to Eastchase out here and we are definitely thankful to have them out of here.”

“It is so exciting to be a part of the Eastchase family,” said Celena Sims-McDew, Build-A-Bear Southeast District Manager. “This is an amazing center with some amazing merchants. We have an incredible partnership with Richard, the general manager, and we cannot wait to meet and greet Montgomery and make some really great experiences for our guests here.”

The new location is next to Books-A-Million.
