Shower Activity Lingering Into Part Of The Weekend

A cloudy and wet start to the weekend but it won’t end that way.  Showers will linger into Saturday and a few are possible Sunday but sunshine will be around at times.  A cold front will push through the state Saturday afternoon and that will set us up for some milder mornings ahead.

In the meantime, we’re expecting a cloudy sky with showers likely overnight.  Temps will fall into the lower 70s for lows.  As the frontal boundary moves through a few showers can’t be ruled out along it.  Temps will manage mid 80s for northern areas while clouds and showers hold temps down southward.  Some spots may only reach the mid to upper 70s for highs Saturday afternoon.  Milder air will spill into the area Saturday night into early Sunday.  Temps will start out in the lower 60s Sunday morning.  We expect mid 80s again by the late afternoon hours.  There will be a need to hold onto a chance for showers Sunday afternoon.  These showers would be mainly across our south and southeastern most counties.  All other spots should maintain dry and warm conditions.

Next week will start out mostly sunny and dry.  Temps will continue to reach the mid to upper 80s for highs. Moisture will gradually increase around midweek and isolated showers will start to develop around the area.  We will finish out that week with temps in the mid to upper 80s for highs and isolated showers possible each afternoon.
