Strong To Severe Storm Threat Continues Into Friday

 

 

 

 

OVERNIGHT:   we’re expecting periods of showers and occasionally a t-storm or two. The winds won’t be near as gusty and continue out of the southeast at around 8-16 mph.  Temps will  hover in the lower 70s for overnight lows.

FRIDAY: the circulation around post tropical cyclone Francine will  continue to impact our area.  Around convective band will setup to our west early and advance eastward through the day. Showers and t-storms are likely and some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe.  There is a marginal risk (1 out of 5) covering the area. The main threats will be damaging wind gust and possibly a tornado.  We do expect some of the rain activity to linger into the evening at that could have an impact on some high school football games.

THE WEEKEND:  There will be some sunshine around along with scattered showers and occasionally t-storms. Temps will reach the mid to upper 80s for highs and overnight lows in the upper 60s.
