CrimeStoppers raises over $157,000 in annual golf tournament
Today’s weather didn’t keep golfers from hitting the links in Prattville for a good cause.
The 24th Annual Central Alabama CrimeStoppers Golf Tournament took place at RTJ Capitol Hill.
The tournament is not only a fun day on the course, but it is a huge fundraiser that earns a third of the CrimeStoppers budget for the year.
The funds raised go toward the reward money for tips the public provides on unsolved crimes, law enforcement training programs and other behind the scenes work CrimeStoppers does for the community.
Today’s fundraising event brought in over $157,000 this year.
Over 120 golfers participated this year, including several employees from Action 8.
