A Chance To Dry Out This Week

The remnants of Francie will finally be moving out of the region and that will allow our area to begin drying out and heating up.  We’re expecting abundant sunshine to return and temps to climb with afternoon highs back in the upper 80s to lower 90s by midweek.

In the meantime, clouds and some showers continue to linger over west Alabama tonight. Clearing will gradually take place for east to west and we’re looking at a mostly sunny sky Tuesday. Temps will respond and we’re warming into the mid to upper 80s for afternoon highs. Some shower activity will try to get going across southwest Alabama but the majority of our area remains rainfree. As the week progresses, we experience abundant sunshine and temps manage upper 80s to lower 90s for highs. This will give us a chance to dry out after the soaking rain event from the past weekend.

Our upcoming weekend is looking fairly and dry with mainly sunny skies and temps still climbing into the upper 80s for highs.   A weak front may make a run at the region late Sunday into Monday but no significant changes to our weather are expected.  All indications are we continue mostly sunny and dry through the start of next week.
