Quarterback Bryce Young, who won the 2021 Heisman Trophy at Alabama, has been benched in his second season with the Carolina Panthers.

CBS Sports reports that Young, a former No. 1 draft pick, will be replaced by Andy Dalton starting this week when Carolina plays at the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Panthers have scored only 13 points in their first two games under new head coach Dave Canales.

Sunday, Young threw for 84 yards on 26 attempts as the Panthers fell to the Los Angeles Chargers 26-3 at home to go 0-2.
