Family: Victim in Montgomery hit and run dies from injuries
A Montgomery man who was hit by a car earlier this week has died.
The family of 24-year-old Quanterious Thompson said he passed away Thursday.
Thompson was walking home from his job at Krystal on East South Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night when eyewitnesses say a maroon car hit him, then the victim was possibly hit by a second gray vehicle.
Witnesses say both cars drove off afterwards and he was left lying in the intersection of Norman Bridge Road and the East South Boulevard.
Montgomery firefighters responded to the scene that evening and Thompson was taken to Baptist South with life-threatening injuries.
Montgomery police say the driver and vehicle involved were located yesterday. Police say the case will be presented to a grand jury and their investigation continues.
