HURRICANE HELENE: Closings, cancellations and delays

Hurricane Helene has brought closings, cancellations and delays to our area. Here is the list for Friday:

Lee County Schools:

Friday: All offices and schools will be closed, but it will be a remote learning day.

All Pre-K is canceled on Friday.

Opelika City Schools: 

Friday will be a remote learning day. Students and staff should not report to campus and should remain at home.

Pike County Schools:

Plans are for schools to reopen on Friday. However, because of uncertainties in the timing of both the track and arrival time of this weather, students and parents should be alert to the possibility of changes to school schedules for Friday.

Troy City Schools:

Friday: One-hour delay
