Dixon Mills man dies in Marengo County crash
A single-vehicle crash in Marengo County has claimed the life of a Dixon Mills man.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Marengo County 6, less than one mile north of Dixon Mills.
Troopers say 65-year-old Lonnie Dixon was fatally injured when the 2018 Jeep Cherokee he was driving left the roadway and struck an embankment. Dixon was pronounced deceased at the scene.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is trying to determine the cause of the crash.
