A Quieter Weather Pattern For Several Days
Helene is long gone and now we settle into a quieter weather pattern around here. We won’t say we’re completely shower free but chances will be rather low for the next several days. You outdoor plans should work out nicely this weekend.
WEEKEND: A large area of low pressure well north of us will remain parked and be a rain maker. We’re on the southern fringes of the low and occasionally periods of thicker clouds will swing through. It’s possible a light shower could be imbedded in the band of clouds. There will continue to be a southwesterly wind flow into the area. It’s generated by the low pressure system to our north. We expect southwest around 10-15 mph and maybe a little gustier at times. Temps will warm nicely into the lower to mid 80s for highs over the weekend.
NEXT WEEK: A mainly sunny and dry weather pattern will start the work week off. Temps will climb into the mid to upper 80s for highs. A frontal boundary will slide into the region around midweek. It looks moisture starved and that will limit any rain activity. High pressure will move into the area behind the frontal system. This should re-enforce the mainly sunny and dry conditions over us. The one kink in the forecast could be a tropical system in the gulf. There is the possibly something forms in the Caribbean and moves into the southern gulf early in the week. Just something we will be monitoring for any kind of development and impacts for us.
