Prattville police continue to seek answers after dozens of shots were fired in neighborhood
Prattville police need your help in solving an investigation into dozens of shots fired in a neighborhood.
Investigators say at about 11PM on August 4, they were called to Cosby Court, which is off Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive, where many shots were fired into occupied homes.
Police say they found about 56 rounds, including .223 caliber and 7.62 caliber casings, in the roadway. Officers say three occupied homes had rounds fired into them as well as an unoccupied home and an unoccupied vehicle.
Investigators say it appears that the shooters drove down the street, got out and began to fire.
No one was injured in the gunfire.
Investigators say witnesses say two to four males, identified as Black males, possibly juveniles who are believed to be teenaged, wore ski masks and were seen driving off in a white car with no tag.
Investigators believe this was not a random act, however, the motive is unknown.
