Chance For Showers Late Week
A bit of summer-like warmth will be in play for a few more days this week. We’re expecting lots of sunshine along with temps warming into the mid to upper 80s for highs. Overnight temps will hover in the mid to upper 60s. A frontal boundary will move into the state midweek. It may hang up for a bit but eventually should move south of us later this week. The combination of the frontal boundary and disturbances riding along it will bring back the chance for showers. We will carry the chance for showers/t-storms late Thursday and into Friday. We’re watching the Gulf of Mexico with interest all week. The NHC has an area marked for tropical development over the Northern Caribbean and Southern Gulf. This could potentially have an impact on how much rain we see. There’s still a lot of uncertainty and the models just don’t have it nailed down yet. It’s just something we will need to monitor.
