Troy welcomes new police chief
Troy has a new police chief who is no stranger to the force.
At a standing-room only ceremony yesterday, Danny Barron became chief, following his service as deputy chief. He has been in law enforcement since he was 17 years old.
“We’re committed to upholding the rule of law with fairness and respect for every individual,” Barron told people at the ceremony. “Together, we’ll face challenges with dedication and work toward a safer, more vibrant Troy.”
Barron replaces Randall Barr, who retired as chief September 30.
