Mainly dry, sunshine returns this weekend; More fall-like next week
Friday was cloudy with rain, mainly near and south of highway 80 and Interstate 85. However, rain quickly tapered off early Friday evening. Most of our area was dry by 7PM. The sky remains mostly cloudy Friday night, with lows in the mid 60s. Sunshine returns this weekend, though some clouds remain in the mix too. Isolated showers appear possible Saturday and Sunday, but most locations remain dry. Temperatures trend warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Our weather looks pleasant and more fall-like next week. The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor potential tropical cyclone development in the Gulf of Mexico next week. However, models still show whatever becomes of that system tracking to our southeast across the Florida peninsula. If that holds true, central and south Alabama remains mainly sunny, dry, and slightly cooler with lower humidity next week.
