Elmore County man arrested on multiple sex charges
A man from Elmore County has been arrested on several sexual-assault related charges, according to Coosada police.
Police say 53-year-old Scott Ray Kramer has been charged with two counts of rape in the second degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, sodomy in the second degree and incest involving a minor.
Police say on October 3, the alleged victim filed a report saying Kramer had been sexually assaulting her for approximately 10 years. Police say they were told most of the assaults occurred at Kramer’s home when she was a child. The complainant also alleged that she became impregnated by Kramer, police say.
Police say Kramer used to serve as a former assistant fire chief for the Coosada Fire Department, approximately four years ago. Police say they have confirmed that Kramer had been working as an umpire with Millbrook Parks and Recreation Department.
Police say on October 4, Kramer was arrested and taken to the Elmore County Jail, where he is being held on a $165,000 cash bond.
