Faulkner football falls in conference opener
Faulkner football (2-3, 0-1 Mid-South Conference) fell 47-21 to Lindsey Wilson in their conference opener.
The Faulkner Eagles started out down 14-0, but were able to the game at 14 apiece going into halftime. However Lindsey Wilson outscored Faulkner 33-7 in the second half
Duece Marshall, who recently made the switch from wide receiver to quarterback, got the start under center for the Eagles. He finished passing 13-30 for 173 yards.
Quarterback Evan Eschbach took over duties to begin the fourth quarter for the Eagles offense. The graduate student went 6-7 for 125 yards, tacking on a touchdown.
Arkansas State transfer Cam Bulluck, Jacksonville State transfer La’Derrick Bell and sophomore Lamarie Mitchell all caught touchdowns for the Eagles
