Montgomery man arrested in Auburn on gun-related charges

A Montgomery man was arrested in Auburn on a gun charge and receiving stolen property.

Auburn police say on October 1, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Shug Jordan Parkway.

41-year-old Sammie Lee Taylor was a passenger in the vehicle. During the stop, officers say they recovered a firearm from the vehicle.

Police confirmed that the firearm was stolen in another police jurisdiction. Officers also determined that Taylor’s possession of a firearm was a felony according to Alabama Law.

Sammie Taylor was arrested for the charged and was taken to the Lee County Jail on a $13,000 bond.
