Man killed in Alexander City shooting

Alexander City police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead.

Police say the shooting happened just after 10PM Saturday night in the 2000 block of County Road. That’s where they say they found 20-year-old Marquell Banks of Alexander City.

Investigators say he had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at Russell Medical Center.

Police say two suspects have been taken into custody. They are both from Alexander City. One is a juvenile.

Their names haven’t been released. They are currently awaiting a bond hearing.
