Man injured in shooting in midtown Montgomery

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting in midtown Montgomery that left a man injured.

Police Maj. Saba Coleman told Action 8 News the shooting happened at about 9:12 this morning in the 2500 block of Plum Street. That location is a few blocks from Ann Street.

Coleman said the man who was shot suffered a gunshot wound that is not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No other information has been released.
