A couple more cold nights, but warming up a bit this weekend

Cooler fall air has arrived in central and south Alabama. However, it may feel more like November or even December in our area through Friday morning. Wednesday remains sunny, cool, and breezy. High temperatures may remain shy of 70°, generally ranging from the mid to upper 60s. Meanwhile, winds remain sustained out of the north to northeast at 10 to 15 mph. Gusts could be over 20 mph at times.

Wednesday night looks clear and cold, with lows in the upper 30s. Frost looks unlikely in our area, but appears possible in north Alabama, where a frost advisory goes into effect late Wednesday night. Thursday looks sunny and a touch warmer with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Thursday night looks clear and cold, with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Friday looks mostly sunny and a bit warmer again, with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Mainly sunny, dry weather continues this weekend. Temperatures look a bit more seasonable, with highs near 80° Saturday and Sunday.
