Fiery head-on collision between two 18-wheelers kills one driver in Montgomery County

A fiery head-on crash between two 18-wheelers in Montgomery County killed the driver of one of the trucks.

Alabama State Troopers say 61-year-old Idrissa Sidibe of New York, New York, was killed when the 18-wheeler collided head-on with an 18-wheeler driven by 28-year-old Wesley Jenkins of Mannford, Oklahoma.

Investigators say both trucks were completely engulfed in flames following the crash. Jenkins was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.

The wreck happened at about 6PM Wednesday on U.S. Highway 231, about five miles south of Montgomery.
