Monday, Oct. 21 is deadline to register to vote in Alabama

Monday, October 21, is the deadline to register to vote in the November 5 General Election in Alabama.

Secretary of State Wes Allen says electronic voter registration may be completed up until 11:59 PM tonight, October 21.

A paper voter registration form may be delivered in person to your local Board of Registrars by the end of business today. Voter registration forms that are being mailed in must be postmarked by today.

To be eligible to vote in Alabama, you must be a citizen of the United States, live in Alabama, and be 18 years old on or before election day. You must not be barred from voting due to a disqualifying felony conviction or have been judged “mentally incompetent” by a court of law.
