ALEA: Motorcyclist killed in Lee County during pursuit

ALEA investigators say a man on a motorcycle was killed in a crash in Lee County during a law enforcement pursuit.

Alabama State Troopers say 24-year-old Caleb Brown of Salem was being pursued by a Russell County deputy when the motorcycle he was riding hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The chase had started in Russell County before entering Lee County.

The crash happened at about 9:18PM on Tuesday on Lee County Road 401, about six miles south of Salem.

No other information has been released, including what led to the pursuit.
