Troy police are investigating shots fired on University Avenue and are looking for people with information about it.

Police say the shots were fired at around 7PM Saturday in the 100 block of University Avenue, which is near the South Brundidge Street intersection.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots involving two people — one firing from a vehicle and the other on foot. No suspects were located at the scene, but witnesses provided descriptions, police say.

A nearby home and an unoccupied parked vehicle were damaged by gunfire. No one was hurt.

Police say it appears the gunshots may have followed an altercation inside a nearby business.
