ONLY ON 8: Action 8 News Political Analyst Steve Flowers shared his insight into the final days before the Nov. 5 general election.
Flowers discussed why Alabama is one of only three states to not offer early voting to its residents. Nationwide, nearly 50 million people have already had the opportunity to vote.
He talked about how presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will be shifting from talking about the issues to making sure their supporters go to the polls.
Flowers also talked about the District 2 U.S. House race in Alabama. The district was redrawn to give Black Alabama voters a bigger say in who represents them. District 2 is now nearly evenly split between Democrats and Republicans. Flowers talked about how the presidential race might influence how people vote in District 2, which includes all of Montgomery County and stretches from the Georgia state line to the Mississippi state line and also includes Mobile.
