Eastdale Mall provides safe trick or treating on Halloween

A Montgomery mall is provided a safe way for kids to trick or treat indoors on Halloween.

Eastdale Mall held its annual “Mall-O-Ween” event that allows kids 12 and under while wearing costumes to go store to store to get candy.

The event started at 4:00 p.m. and ran until 7:00 p.m.

Mall General Manager Brian Smith tells Action 8 News that the key is focusing on the future and if kids are treated right, the future is going to be good. Smith says he wanted to keep kids in mind when implementing new events at the mall.

The Eastdale Mall Teen Team Board and several community service organizations helped make the event possible.
