Montgomery man dies in Lowndes County crash

A two-vehicle crash in Lowndes County has claimed the life of a Montgomery man.

The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Friday on Alabama 21 near the 113 mile marker, approximately six miles south of Hayneville.

Troopers say 81-year-old Michael Hoskins was fatally injured when the 2008 Ford Fusion he was driving collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F-350.

Hoskins was pronounced dead on the scene. No word on if the driver of the F-350 sustained any injuries.

Troopers with The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the crash.
