All lanes now open on I-85 North at Line Creek

The Alabama Department of Transportation says that all lanes are now open on I-85 North at Line Creek.

Crews will continue working on the southbound lanes for up to the next 18 days.

Crews are widening the bridges over Line Creek and the relief bridges (total of six bridges) two and half miles north of exit 16, which is the Waugh/Pike Road exit.

ALDOT says the project remains active and intermittent lane closures will likely occur during the evening hours until the project is complete.

ALDOT hopes to have all of the work finished by Thanksgiving.
