CASA’s 5K and Fun Run brings out the Superhero in children and adults

Everyone was a superhero at Riverwalk Stadium on Saturday. Dozens of tiny superheroes sprinted around the inside of Riverwalk stadium during CASA’s 4th annual Superhero 5K and Fun Run.

And the kids weren’t the only ones competing. Adults also laced up their running shoes and dressed up as their favorite characters as they dashed around downtown Montgomery.

The superhero 5K is a way for the public to act like heroes and help support CASA’s River Region program, so that children who have been victims of abuse and neglect can get the help they need. Every runner received a one of a kind CASA superhero medal, t-shirt or cape, and race bag.
