Republican Gary Palmer wins reelection to U.S. House in Alabama’s 6th Congressional District

Republican Rep. Gary Palmer has won reelection to the U.S. House seat representing District 6.

This Birmingham-area district now includes Autauga and Elmore counties in our area after the congressional district lines were redrawn.

Palmer defeated Democratic nominee Elizabeth Anderson. Palmer was first elected in 2014.

He serves as chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, an advisory committee to House Republicans.
