Second District Republican Congressman Barry Moore wins Alabama’s First Congressional District

Second District Republican Congressman Rep. Barry Moore has won election to Congress representing the neighboring District 1.

Moore defeated Democratic nominee Tom Holmes

Moore, who is from Enterprise, no longer lived in District 2 after the Congressional district lines were redrawn. When Enterprise was put into District 1, Moore decided to run for that seat.

He beat incumbent District 1 Congressman Jerry Carl to win the nomination earlier this year.
