Many areas should get rain today

High humidity and a rising-air pattern should result in greater than fifty-percent coverage of rain today across Central and South Alabama.  Thunder and lightning could also accompany any heavier showers that develop.

Rain chances remain near fifty percent tomorrow, but only some isolated-to-scattered showers are expected now for Friday and this weekend.  Temperatures are likely to reach eighty degrees or warmer for the next several days.

Hurricane Rafael will move into the Gulf Of Mexico soon, but it does not appear to pose a threat to the Alabama Coast or the Florida Panhandle.
