Two arrested in 2021 fatal shooting in Troy

Troy police have arrested two people in the fatal shooting of a man in 2021.

Police say the arrests are connected to the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Zacharias Devonta McLendon, which happened on November 14, 2021.

Yesterday, police say 23-year-old Zy’kayedria Ka’shay Thompkins and 22-year-old Jahunter Imorriss Johnson2, both of Phenix City, were arrested. 

Police say Thompkins and Johnson have been indicted on three charges: one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. They are now being held in the Pike County Jail where they are awaiting a bond hearing.
