Pike Road Intermediate School honors veterans at annual breakfast
As we get closer to Veterans Day, one local intermediate school wanted to say thank you to those who serve.
Pike Road Intermediate held its annual Veterans Day breakfast Friday at the school.
Organizers say it was their way to celebrate veterans and honor their students who come from military families.
Teachers say all week, they have tried to instill into their students a mindset of gratitude for the role veterans have paid for our freedom.
Over 60 veterans from the town attended the breakfast.
