Train hits truck in Macon County; driver injured

A tractor-trailer truck driver has been injured in Macon County after a collision with a train.
Macon County EMA Director Frank Lee told Action 8 News the accident happened this morning in the 5700 block of County Road 40, near the Milstead Farm Group in the Shorter area.
Local and state first responders were called to the scene.
Lee said the injured truck driver was taken to a hospital for treatment.
