Dispute between elected officials moves forward in Lowndes Co.

A Hayneville judge sets a trial date in a dispute in Lowndes County — between the sheriff — and the county commission.
Judge Fred Bell dismissed the harassment charge against Sheriff Chris West — but he let the charge of obstructing-governmental-operations move forward.
The charges stem from a heated exchange between West and members of the county commission — during a commission meeting back in June.
West pleaded not-guilty to the charges last month.
Judge Bell set a trial date in the case — for December 12th.
