Montgomery’s Bethel Missionary Baptist Church celebrates 157 years
Bethel Missionary Baptist Church was filled with hundreds of believers who were joyfully giving thanks on Sunday. The theme for the special service was “A Church United in Thought and Purpose” and it is from a verse in I Corinthians.
The Mass Choir led the congregation in praise and worship, and Pastor Lee B. Walker from New Home Missionary Baptist Church was the guest speaker. Pastor Calvin McTier says it was it was a time for the community to fellowship, sing together, pray together, and thank God for their blessings. The church started in 1867.
