Rain is likely late tonight, and almost a certainty tomorrow

For the second time in the past week, widespread rain is coming to Central and South Alabama.  Showers could arrive in some locations by Monday evening, with higher chances for rain and lightning after midnight tonight.

Rain is expected areawide Tuesday morning, and at least some scattered showers will linger into the afternoon tomorrow.  Some thunderstorms are likely to develop, and a few of those could reach severe limits with the potential to produce damaging winds.

Much cooler air will blow in late this week, and temperatures could be cold enough for patchy frost on Friday and Saturday mornings.
