Wet today, much cooler by Thursday

Periods of rain will continue into the afternoon today, along with scattered thunderstorms.  Showers will affect some locations Tuesday night and possibly even Wednesday morning, before the sky clears out during the day tomorrow.

A major cooldown is coming behind the rain, as stiff northwest winds will blow late this week.  Temperatures aren’t expected to climb out of the 50s all day Friday, even with maximum sunshine.  Areas of frost could form before sunrise Saturday as we drop into the middle 30s.
